Butterbeer revisited.
Last week I sent out this tweet:
To which I received this response:

And Sarah's all like:
If someone takes the time to read my blog, respond to my tweet and then send me a recipe, you can bet I'm going to take the time to give it a try and then tell how it all went down. This weekend I gathered all of the ingredients I would need to make this potion and set about producing culinary magic.
Congratulations, Sarah. You've earned an O on your O.W.L. in Potions!
Islands of Adventure...you get a T.

@RalphSensei should've gone for the authentic stuff at the wizarding world. Or try making butter beer latte...I have the recipe if you want?

So I go:
@ButterflyQuills Latte? Please send it my way!
— Scott Ralph (@RalphSensei) October 24, 2013
And Sarah's all like:
@RalphSensei 2 tbs of brown sugar, 2 tbs butter melt together while stirring. Add about a cup of milk, 1 tsp vanilla and dash cinnamon.

@RalphSensei then you bring all to nice boil. Pour in fave mug and enjoy the nostalgia! It tastes great!

Ready to rock these Three Broomsticks!
How cows roll in the wizarding world.
This is your brain on butterbeer.
Just a dash, and then...
A few turns with the wand. Specialis Revelio!
The perfect gentle boil. Professor Snape would be proud.
Eat your heart out, Rosemerta.
Assessment: I'm drinking a real butterbeer as I type this, and it is divine. It's creamy, it's sweet, it's warm, and while it's not something my circulatory system could handle on a daily basis, I look forward to a cold day in January when tea or coffee just won't do it for me. My imagination has been healed. The Prisoner of Azkaban can come down from the bookshelf without the residual guilt of The Soda Who Must Not Be Named. Congratulations, Sarah.
